[EVENT] Bukit Dinding training hike

OPEN EVENT CODE PF39u

When: 26th November 2023 (Sunday)
Time: 8:00 am
Where: Details will be separately provided (in Telegram collaboration platform) to registered/paid joiners
Joining fee: RM5 (MNS member), RM10 (non member)

We’ll start our hike with a road walk to trailhead and from there, begin our ascent up the steep slope. The hike till the peak will be challenging, but it’s a great way to get your heart pumping and fitness challenged. We will make use of ropes to help us climb up the steeper sections of the trail. Gloves are recommended, especially for those not familiar with using ropes. Proper hiking shoes with deep threads are also recommended to help you maintain your footing on the mud trails.

The hike is a combination of road and forest trails, with most of the hike taking place in forested areas. There will not be many viewpoints, if any at all, on this hike. The hike is suitable for working out, with a difficulty level of 4 to 4.5 out of 5. The risk level is 2 out of 5, with the cliff side being 5 out of 5. It’s important to stay alert and aware of your surroundings throughout the hike.

Note: This event is not suitable for children and especially those with heart condition.

Duration of hike is roughly 3+ hours, so it’s important to bring at least 2 liters of water and/or energy drink to stay hydrated throughout the hike. Some parts of the hike will be exploratory in nature but we are expecting to traverse generally clear trails.
