On 17 May 2026, a group of members went recce Bukit 527 with Pathfinders at Salak, Selangor. Depending on the route you choose, we found the hill to be easy for both beginner’s leisure walk with scenic lookout points, as well as a great place for endurance and ascend training. The hill is mainly of secondary forest and old oil palm plantation.

There are many trails but we did just the most frequented loop. Future recce can be planned for other side trails, including a possible to trans-hike from B527 to Bukit Unggul (better known as Bukit Tunggul).
