Gondol means bald in BM but the forest generally disagrees. Perhaps the name came about from the 'botak plains' open area?! Bukit Gondol is located nearby the famous hiking spot Broga hill; and is a popular hill especially for the locals.
The total distance for the hike is about 5 km with elevation of 305 m. It takes a short 3 hours (with leisure time) to complete the hike. Along the hike you will notice nothing short of green scenery with photo pitstop by the stations Sam hill, Tao Jie Shan and etc. At the end of the hike, you will be welcomed by a hanging bridge and the magnificent statue in Sak Dato Temple with a scenic view of the town below.
